This is a fine example of a rare Dayak maternity ceremonial planter. Cubist in conception with great angular lines. The hands grasp the head while the legs hold a finely rendered child possessing a soft yet mesmerizing expression. The patina is weathered from great age and exposure. In excellent condition.
