19th Century or earlier

Butterchurn handles are plentiful in Nepalese culture., but rarely do you see one so large as this as well as humanoid in form. Mostly these handles are abstract and non-figurative. This handle has a deep patina with layers of white pigments and incredible evidence of use around the ‘clamp’ region where a ‘bar’ was attached. In excellent overall condition.

This object stands 12.75” tall.
