Authentic double Kulango bronze charms are becoming harder and harder to find. This example from the well known miniature collection of Michael Oliver in NYC is the archetype. The elongated almost birdlike faces have a stylized human body that has great openwork and movement. The surface is heavily worn from handling over the generations; and the bronze has that classic patina that can only be acquired through years of exposure and use creating soft curves to the highpoints. The casting is superb and in excellent condition.

This Amulet stands 1.75” tall.
