Kulango figure's are related to the Baule but share elements of the surrounding tribes such as the Senufo and Ligbi and are generally more abstract and angular. This figure's features are angular but also possesses a robust naturalism that makes this sculpture unique. The figure is covered in a ochre pigment with traces of kaolin, carved from hardwood with a fine handled patina.
