Owned by Mossi girls and women, these small female figures function as both toy and magical agent to promote fertility. These objects are incredibly individualistic and were well taken care of. In excellent condition, this rare example is bound and laced with leather and decorated with a woven strip across the lower half of the doll's body. The abstract features created by the leather and weaving adds a sense of mystery and awe to the overall presence of this figure.
