Two Tun Tuns

Tun Tuns are markers, used to magically enhance and measure the height of pig traps erected in the jungle. These two Tun Tuns are beautiful examples. The ornamental figures on top of the stick empowers the trap. Usually depicted in a hunkered form, the larger figure is carved in an elongated stylized form. While the smaller figure has a more compact composition and naturalistic representation. Both are carved from hard wood and have dark handled patinas and evidence of abundance of use.
