“Philippine Tribal art Figurative Spoons and Ladles” Fig 18 Page 64

This ancient Ifugao spoon is wonderfully conceived. The finely carved bowl is surmounted by a Bulul figure in classic seated position. The Bulul figure has great strength wearing an old copper torque around its neck. The patina is extremely deep from generations of ceremonial use. There is some loss to the figure but it does not detract from the power of the sculpture.

This spoon stands 5.75 inches tall.
