Pagar Figure

This Pagar figure wrapped in plant fiber is a very mysterious and magical object.  The sculpture is composed mostly of horizontal and vertical lines; creating a powerful cubist image.  The patina is deeply encrusted from generations of use and exposure to the elements.  Slight chips on the object expose heavily oxidized wood; indicative of great age.
