This is a fine example of a Dayak magic charm. Shaman carry these charms on necklaces, bags and even special baskets; and they range in quality. This particular figure is quite special; with is crouching position and elegantly elongated limbs. The spine is delineated by way of a tight line giving this figure a cubist quality. The nicely detailed body is surmounted by a beautiful heart shaped face that conveys emotion. The surface is deeply encrusted from generations of exposure and storage in the men’s house.

The figure is 4.5 inches tall.
