Ancestor Pair

These enigmatic figures from Northern Togo-land are rare examples. While many examples on the market today are sculpturally stiff, this pair has emotion and movement. The heads on both the male and female are stylized, and the scarifications on the bodies are representative of ritual scarring. There is some erosion on both figures from exposure to the elements.

The male figure stands 12 in tall.
The female figure stands 10 in tall.
